The use of blue in interiors is thought to add calm and relaxation and help with depression and pain. Blue is often used in hospital settings as it is thought to help bring down blood pressure and slow the heart rate.

Many consumers focused on creating home offices to help with their new working situation, whilst others looked at making the living and reception rooms more relaxed and calming. Gardens were also used as an outdoor retreat. How did colour factor in their choices?
